THE ITINERARY IN DETAIL

The itinerary is based on the assumption that all roads and passes will be open in June 2024. However, due to the unpredictable nature of weather changes and road conditions in the Himalayas, we reserve the right to adjust the itinerary on short notice if necessary.

Day 04: Chitkul

As we descend into the valley, we ride alongside the Sutley River before beginning our climb to Chitkul. This village is known as India's last village, but also for being hidden behind a deeply carved cleft, nestled between strong mountain slopes. The evergreen forests rise to alpine meadows crowned by snowy summits. The start of the road to Chitkul is truly hair-raising until the road reaches Sangla Valley.

The traditional Kinnaur timber-stone style is evident in the houses and temples of the old part of Chitkul, making it a must-visit destination.
