Her First Adventure Ride Took Her to the Himalayas at 67
Sometimes doubt is loud. But desire is louder.
Corinne had spent years watching other riders disappear into wild, unreachable places on two wheels — the Himalayas, high passes, endless dirt roads. She told herself the same story many women do: too small, too late, too inexperienced.
At 67, she knew one thing for sure: waiting wasn’t going to make the dream any easier. And that's when she stopped asking “Can I?”
And started asking, “How the hell can I?”
Corinne is 5'2" tall, with a 28" inseam.
This would be her first-ever adventure ride.
And she chose Spiti Valley. A remote, high-altitude region in the Indian Himalayas.

Until then, Corinne lived her adventure like this through screens — Facebook feeds, YouTube videos, stories from riders who seemed braver, stronger, more “built for it.”
She wanted those roads.
She wanted that feeling.
But wanting felt safer than choosing.
Then a window opened.
A chance to ride off-road in India’s Spiti Valley — a high-altitude desert where roads dissolve into tracks, monasteries cling to cliffs, and the landscape strips everything back to what matters.
BIKE ’N SOUL became that window. And Corinne decided to leap through it. She wasn’t asked to be fearless. Only to ride into unfamiliar terrain with support, patience, and respect for each rider's pace.
That was enough.
When Corinne talks about her ride, she doesn’t speak like someone chasing adrenaline. She speaks like a woman who has finally stopped negotiating with doubt.
These are her words:
"What happens when the heart of a lion lives in the body of a Chihuahua? Life becomes full of adventures and challenges and a constant opportunity to say “It’s not possible,” “It’s too hard,” “I can’t do that,” “I’m not built for that.” But the better question is—how the hell can I do it?
Because if you believe that you can, you can. There will always be a way… Adventure riding has been a journey of challenges and opportunities for me.
For so many years now, I’ve had a great desire to travel on an adventure bike and see parts of the world I thought I'd never be able to. So instead I would watch Facebook feeds, YouTube videos, read adventure stories—and live vicariously through the people out there doing what I so badly wanted to do!
What also often happens is that a window of opportunity comes along… and then you must recognize it and make a decision. Who is going to make that decision? The heart of the lion? Or the body of the Chihuahua?
BIKE ’N SOUL was this window—offering the chance to off-road in India’s Spiti Valley, fulfilling that dream of seeing far-off places on those adventuring two wheels… and I thought, “I can.”
My advice to you? Live with no regrets… take on those challenges… and you will find out what you're made of."
High-altitude mountain roads.
Demanding days in the saddle.
Moments of doubt — and moments of pure, unfiltered joy.
This wasn’t about proving anything. It was about discovering what was already there.
"It was an adventure that will live on in my heart and soul forever."
And now? Corinne isn’t finished.
She’s already looking toward new horizons — Tanzania next year, with her little lion mascot Tanzy reminding her daily of her future “I can.”
